About Us
Nyarai P Chibanda is the Librarian of the Midlands State University. She is a holder of Master of Science in Library and Information Science from the National University of Science and Technology. Ms Chibanda is well experienced in the management of academic libraries. She is a member of the Zimbabwe Library Association, current Secretary of the Zimbabwe University Libraries Consortium, a member of the IFLA – Africa Section, Past President of the Rotary Club of Gweru and still an active member of the Club.

About Midlands State University Library
The Midlands State University Library is a vast network of individual Libraries committed to providing top-notch resources that cater to the University community’s learning and teaching, research, innovation and industrialisation needs. Our network includes the Main Library and several branch libraries: Faculty of Arts and Humanities, Batanai Learning Centre, Disability Resource Centre, Faculty of Engineering and Geosciences, Harare Campus, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Postgraduate Studies, School of Social Work and several learning and research commons.
To ensure efficient and effective service delivery, the Library has divided its operations into six units: Acquisitions, Resource Description and Metadata Services, Client Services, Marketing and Liaison, Research Support, and Digital Services. Each Unit is dedicated to providing high-quality services that support the core business of learning and teaching, research, innovation, community engagement and industrialisation, ultimately contributing to the University’s success.
