Lending Services
Borrowing of library resources is reserved for MSU registered students and staff members.
What can be borrowed
Reserve, Core Collection Open Shelf books can be borrowed if you are a member of the MSU community. However, journals, newspapers, past examination papers and books labelled reference cannot be taken out of the library as they are for inhouse use only.

Loan Period and Fines
The following table indicates the loan periods and fines for all borrowable books in the Library

Where to Borrow
- Books found on the Open-Shelf must be taken to the Open shelf issue desk and books from the Reserve section are borrowed from the Reserve Section issue desk. This only applies to students.
- Staff members who wish to borrow materials either from the Reserve Section or Open Shelf will be served in the Staff Services Office.
- Take note of the due date as all overdue books will attract a fine
Returns
Books borrowed from a specific library should be returned to that particular library.
MSU Interlibrary Loan Services
Books that are not available in the MSU Library can be sourced from other libraries in Zimbabwe. All active MSU staff and registered students may use this service.
