The MSU Library is dedicated to providing top-notch services tailored to the distinctive needs of users within the Faculty of Education. We highly value and seek feedback from our users, utilizing it to refine our performance and ensure responsiveness to the unique requirements of the Faculty of Education. To uphold this commitment, the Library has instituted a Service Charter, serving as a guiding principle that shapes the way the Library delivers services, conducts itself, and maintains accountability. Access to Library Resources

The Library supporting the Faculty of Education at Midlands State University provides an extensive and interdisciplinary collection that encompasses the entire spectrum of academic programs within the institution. Access to the library is exclusively granted to bonafide clients of MSU, which includes registered students and current employees of the Faculty of Education. For those who are not affiliated with MSU, library access can be sought by formally requesting authority and fulfilling the necessary fees to be recognized as ‘Approved readers.’ Borrowing privileges are uniquely tailored to the client’s cohort, ensuring customized access to resources for each academic program within the Faculty of Education. It is highly recommended that one acquaints themselves with the specific borrowing privileges that correspond to their status within the faculty for an optimized research and study experience.

  1. Teaching staff – Allowed to borrow a maximum of 8 books at a time for 1 month
  1. Non-Teaching staff – Allowed to borrow a maximum of 6 books at a time for 1 month
  2. Postgraduate students – Allowed to borrow a maximum of 3 books at a time for 7 days
  3. Undergraduate students – Allowed to borrow a maximum of 3 books at a time for 7 days
  4. Approved readers – Do not have any borrowing rights. They are only allowed access to library materials within the building.
